Nuttall's oak Ht 20-30m
Southern-central USA to 200m a.s.l.. Fast growing large broad crowned deciduous tree, with red colours in late autumn. Grows on wet, heavy soils with a deep root syatem. Known also as Texas red oak, probably best in the milder parts of NZ. Rare, but promising in NZ.
